Good morning everyone!! Ok I woke up this morning and made my very first banana pudding. My family has been asking me to make this dish since forever!! So, I decided I will get it done today. If you know me then you know I DO NOT like bananas , so this task was a little bit awkward. Especially, when you are a cook that likes to taste as you go. I did find pleasure in the pudding and the cookies themselves, but with the actual bananas…nope! I am a texture person when it comes to food and there is something about the softness of the banana that does not sit well with me. I know it’s strange that I like banana flavor, but will not eat bananas.
It turned out absolutely perfect and smelled even more amazing. I called my mom and followed her very simple instructions on how to make it. I remember as a child she would make a small side of pudding and cookies ONLY because well…you know, I don’t eat bananas. Mothers are awesome.
I’ll post the ingredients below. I followed the instructions for the pudding on the box. The only twist is that I added a can of condensed milk. It was super easy and turned out great. If you have any tips or want to share your favorite banana pudding recipe, please comment below.
- 1 Banana Instant Pudding
- 1 Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 1 can condensed milk
- 4 cups milk
- 11 oz box of vanilla wafers
- 1 tub of Cool Whip for topping
